At TSB ENERGY, we manufacture Glass Lamination Autoclaves, Glass Lamination Furnaces, and Glass Lamination Machines.
Glass lamination autoclaves aim to achieve the best possible physical properties of glass materials using high heat and pressure allowed by the device.
Our large-diameter autoclaves are manufactured on-site with our expert engineering team.
Temperature fluctuations can cause problems such as resin-rich or resin-poor areas that may weaken the lamination, leading to under-curing or defects. Therefore, temperature is carefully controlled using advanced sensors and automatic control systems.
Working Principle of Glass Lamination Autoclaves
Our glass lamination autoclaves combine pressurization and cross-linking to properly cure glass and resin materials. In laminated glass production, autoclave curing is traditionally used to remove resin voids and achieve the desired glass content (resin-to-glass ratio), producing strong components. This process involves placing the part under internal vacuum in the autoclave and externally pressurizing it during the heated curing cycle. The high pressure in the autoclave helps minimize resin voids and achieve the desired resin/glass ratio. Temperature and pressure settings vary depending on the material type and desired result.
Design: All our glass lamination autoclaves are designed and manufactured in horizontal or vertical construction, with single or double doors, with manual or hydraulic-pneumatic arm options, opening from the side or top, in accordance with EN 13445, AD-2000 Merkblatt, Lloyd’s rules, TRD, DIN, EN, PED 2014/68/EC, and ASME Section VIII Div 1. All electrical components are UL labeled and wired according to the applicable National Electrical Code requirements.
High-load clamp components are subjected to ultrasonic crack testing and fatigue analysis before assembly to check the clamp teeth. Depending on customer requests and machine layout, door opening and closing configurations are designed accordingly.
In TSB ENERGY glass lamination autoclaves, air circulation is directed front-to-back with our proprietary baffle design providing turbulent flow, ensuring air contacts every point inside. With turbulent flow, heat input is provided quickly and evenly to laminated glass, achieving temperature accuracy within ±1°C.
Part quality is directly related to the quality of vacuum applied to each bagged part. We use innovative vacuum systems and vacuum control technologies to ensure reliable levels for each cured part. Our autoclaves not only monitor and control vacuum levels for each part but also perform automatic leak tests before and during operation. Each leak test generates a report stored as part of permanent data records. Additionally, our autoclave software includes a 6-step pre-operation integrity check process to test and verify that vacuum systems, parts, and connections are properly positioned before startup.
Our oil cooling unit provides a level of safety unmatched in the industry. Heat load inside the autoclave is transferred via an internal cooling oil heat exchanger to an external oil exchanger. As heat load is controlled with 3-way proportional valves with 0.1% accuracy, we provide clients with exact cooling curves.
Our glass lamination autoclaves are delivered compact and ready-to-operate on a single chassis. All that is required is electrical and cooling water connections.
At TSB ENERGY, glass lamination autoclaves are designed to save you money not only when you buy them, but especially during operation.
Ease of Use and Maintenance: User-friendly controls and easy access to components simplify operation and maintenance, minimizing downtime and operating costs. One-button start, self-diagnostic safety shutdowns, and a control panel with summarized maintenance instructions based on usage make autoclave operation safe and intuitive for the glass autoclave operator. Additionally, with the most advanced remote access solutions included, our technical service team can quickly provide support anywhere in the world.
All safety devices are monitored by PLC. Safety measures are triggered in case of alarms. Glass autoclave control is performed by the operator via HMI, where active and historical alarms can be tracked. Alarm and operating data are transmitted to other systems via digital dry contacts. Remote data collection and autoclave status information can be obtained through ModBus, Modbus TCP/IP, and Profinet protocols.
Commissioning is carried out by our expert and experienced engineers with full-day on-site training supported by documentation.
Safety: Safety and standards are our top priority. Our glass lamination autoclaves are equipped with advanced safety features such as overpressure and overtemperature protection, vacuum protection, RF-based front door locking sensors, Pilz encrypted safety relays, mechanical front door locking systems, and emergency autoclave shutdown mechanisms.
The door remains locked until internal pressure equals atmospheric pressure and temperature reaches a safe level.
Material: The shell and domes of our glass lamination autoclaves are manufactured from P355GH or P460NL boiler plate steel in accordance with EN 10028-2, selected based on operating temperature and pressure. Nozzle pipes are made from EN 10216-2 compliant P235GH or P265GH seamless boiler tubes. Clamps are produced from forged P355NH (hot rolled rings) or drawn S235JR/S355JR materials.
Efficiency: The entire structure of our glass lamination autoclaves, including front and rear covers, is insulated with 25 mm thick, 1260°C, 128 kg/m³ density ceramic wool, preventing heat losses.

What Is a Glass Lamination Autoclave?
A glass lamination autoclave is a pressure vessel equipped with a special clamping type lid with a diameter matching the vessel, capable of heating with electric or thermal oil energy and cooling via a thermal oil heat exchanger system. It cures the glass inside at specific temperature and pressure levels.
When Is a Glass Lamination Autoclave Used?
A glass lamination autoclave is used when glass sheets need to be firmly bonded with interlayers such as PVB or EVA. It is essential for producing façade glass, automotive glass, and ballistic glass where high strength, safety, and optical clarity are required. It ensures flawless lamination under heat and pressure.
